Wind Turbine on Fourpenny

We received a grant of £10,000 to investigate a 220 kW wind turbine, but have decided to not proceed with this.

 

Runrigs

A £20,000 grant was received from SSE and £10,000 from Awards for All. Purchase cost £25,000 (40 Acres), and the remainder was used for ground preparation. Runrigs now up and running. Still some runrigs available at rent of £10 per annum.

 

School Renovation

Lottery bid - £38,000 was received to fund stage 2 bid professional fees. Bid just waiting on one piece from architect then to be submitted. We thank Rona Grigg for her hard work in getting the project to this stage.

Match funding of £130,000 were made to date Highland Council Capital Discretionary Fund (£70,000), Clever Carbon (£15,989), SSE Highland Sustainable Development Fund (£25,000).The John Gordon bequest of £20,000 is specifically for the renovation.

At the time of the AGM all of the above was secured.

 

Finances

Our accounts are prepared by Mackay & Co of Golspie. These show we held restricted funds of £67,778 and unrestricted funds of £13,841 at the year end of 30 September 2015.

Our Fixed Assets are valued at Equipment £2,006 and Land £25,000.
